The “ZAPPER” trademark was filed this year in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, China, EU, UK, South Korea, and Mexico. What could it possibly mean?
- Nothing. Since these are new applications not renewals, Nintendo is just plugging holes.
- After Zapper was revived in Nintendo Museum, Nintendo plans to release some merchandise.
- Nintendo legal noticed the releases of Polymega GC01 and G’AIM’E light guns, and figured that they need to expand the international protection for ZAPPER.
- Thanks to the magnetometer in Joy-Con 2 and Pro Controller 2, motion control is accurate now. So either brand new or NSO Classic light gun games are in the pipeline.
