There’s an unknown red box that I originally missed in the NCC test reports for Switch 2 devkit BEE-056.
Within the 10 report PDFs, there are only two references to it being another NDK Box (Red?) and its model number being BEE-051. There’s no further information.
Someone smarter than I kindly pointed me to the Korean RRA website, where all 3 boxes are listed:
- BEE-051 (red) “Host Bridge”
- BEE-052 (white) “DEV Cradle”
- BEE-053 (black) “Relay Box”
There’s no further information.
From the info above, we can infer that:
- BEE-052 is a “dock” for testing, hence no PC connection
- BEE-051 complements 052, providing PC connection
- BEE-053 is a standalone box with PC connection
[Speculation] Devs who don’t need to test hardware compatibility with the Dock (BEE-052) perhaps only receive BEE-053.
