During Nintendo’s conference for fiscal Q2 results, Furukawa stated that Nintendo wants “as many people as possible” to get a Switch 2 during the year-end shopping season, aiming to sell above the forecast (19M units). Since the company has expanded capacity post NS2 launch, “production won’t be a bottleneck”. Regarding the US tariffs, Furukawa reiterated that Nintendo expects an impact of “tens of billions of yen” at the profit level.
