I’m tired of correcting Mike Odyssey’s patent hogwash. That Joy-Con strap application is a continuation of a 2023 patent, and the battle system patent isn’t “new” but for Xenoblade Chronicles X (image 1 below). The Pikmin one is the granting of a previously pending 2022 application (image 2).


The “AR device” is yet another continuation of a patent already published 7 times (images below).

P.S.: This is just my personal opinion, and I don’t expect to convince anyone. That AR patent is an internal R&D project that isn’t tied to any specific games. If anything, it might be utilized in a future exhibit in the Nintendo Museum, but even that would be fortuitous.
