At the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival today, Naoki Yoshida (a.k.a. Yoshi-P) showed off the Switch 2 built on a devkit BEE-056. You can tell by the proprietary port at the bottom (click thumbnail images to enlarge).
Since the Switch 2 rendering/photo leaks in late 2024, it’d been speculated that the port is really two USB-C connectors combined side-by-side (NCC filing images below). It appears that the BEE-056 onstage was connected to an Ethernet to USB adapter + USB-C adapter; the latter is plugged into the the left side of the proprietary port, leaving the right side empty. This confirms the theory that the port being a USB-C duo.
