(Slightly OT) Just to show how common IP and other rights enforcement is, but scarcely reported when not done by Nintendo:
During fiscal year ending in 2026-03, Cover/Hololive took 149 legal actions (civil and criminal cases, including multiple arrests), and initiated 1,411 content takedowns (including multiple site shutdowns).
These measures weren’t confined to Japan. Cover stated that they worked with legal counsels in other countries, and filed multiple lawsuits in foreign courts.
