[Reacting to Samsung OLED panel rumor] Just a reminder that before the Switch 2 reveal, there were Korean reports linking it to a Samsung OLED panel; before the Switch OLED Model reveal, there were also Taiwanese reports alleging a new model with an Innolux Mini-LED display.
This type of rumors are unreliable, if not to influence stock prices. Hint: It’s always an expensive component (OLED/Mini-LED) being rumored, for maximum market influence. Personally I’d pay more attention to factory, firmware, and customs data leaks.
[Sidebar] The main reason that Korean and Taiwanese business media have less qualms reporting unsourced rumors is that many readers trade stocks and are hungry for inside info.
