More hints of a new fitness game via Nintendo’s patent activities:
- International patent WO2025120817, published today, describes using a Joy-Con 2 with mouse sensor to measure the user movements and postures on a floor. E.g., exercises on a yoga mat. The first image below shows the user doing a seated forward stretch by moving a Joy-Con forward between two legs. The second image shows the user doing a wide-angle seated lateral stretch, first toward the right foot and then moving to the left.
- In Japan, Nintendo filed for a patent division JP2025089535 on 2025-03-27, also published today, to extend the original 2020 patent for Ring Fit Adventure’s Rhythm Game mode.
