Patent US20250301105 describes a method for a camera + device system to efficiently transmit and process multiple image regions from one source.

As seen on Jamboree TV, two player faces A & B in a camera feed (#250 in image below) can be isolated, and recomposed in the device to be displayed (170).

To do this efficiently, the device repeats alternating requests for face A and face B images (262 & 264) from the camera. So if the camera is running at 30fps, each face is transmitted at 15fps. These faces are then added to the game image (160) for output.
