According to Bloomberg Japan, Nintendo plans to produce up to 25 million units of Switch 2 by FY2026-03. Bloomberg estimates that 20M+ units could be sold this FY, and the remainder would be the inventory for next year.
Bloomberg also reports that Nintendo’s been asking suppliers to increase production, potentially through the New Year. This echoes the financial forecasts from Hosiden, PixArt Imaging, and IntelliGo:
For anyone watching Nintendo’s financial data, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. I believe Nintendo’s unprecedented inventory level at the end of FY2025-03 suggests that selling 20M units has always been the internal goal.
