Nintendo responded to Sankei Shimbun’s inquiry about the recent hacking claim:
「個人情報の流出は確認できず、開発やビジネス情報の漏洩（ろうえい）もない」
“No leakage of personal information has been confirmed, and no breach of development or business information either.”
The report further stated that:
任天堂のサイトを表示する一部の社外サーバーが書き換えられたが、顧客への被害や社内への侵入の形跡はないとしている。
Some external servers displaying Nintendo’s website were compromised, but there is no evidence of harm to customers or intrusion into the company.
It sounds like a breach of web servers and/or CDN. There may or may not be some not-yet-published webpages and assets, but probably nothing truly confidential.
