By the end of FY2026-03, Nintendo’s inventories broke through 500 billion yen for the first time. The exact number is ¥539,804M (~US$3.44B). I only track the data since 2011, but am fairly certain this being a historic high.

Note that the number decreased on 2025-06-30 and -12-31. It indicates that the products were selling, but Nintendo chose to build/hoard more in the following quarter. This is most likely a countermeasure to the surging component and shipping costs.

Nintendo usually provides a breakdown of the inventory types in the Annual Report released in late June. I’ll post an update then.
