Most Played Games by Japanese Schoolchildren, 2026

This year’s Gemutore survey of most played games by Japanese elementary schoolers is out (imgs 1-2). Observations:

  • Minecraft became even more popular
  • Roblox is getting big in Japan
  • Splatoon and Animal Crossing need new releases
  • Fortnite stays flat since 2024
  • Social and creation games dominate, leaving little space for single player games
