The June revenue of Foxconn Technology Co. (鴻準, Switch assembler) seems to indicate that the Switch 2 EU model—aka OSM model—is already rolling off the assembly lines. [Important update: typo in the image; should be “thousand” not “million”]

As seen in the chart above, since 2024-11 FTC’s monthly revenues have been elevated due to NS2 shipments. There were a dip in Jan-Feb ’25 because of Lunar New Year, and a second dip in Feb-May ’26 for LNY, inventory rebalancing, and assembly lines adjustment to ramp up the EU model production (which Mochizuki somehow reported as a sales slowdown). FTC’s output came roaring back in June, breaching NT$15B only the 3rd time since 2018-10. The volume and velocity strongly suggest the new model being in the mix.
Because FTC uses IFRS accounting, a revenue is only recognized when the control of assets is transferred to Nintendo, meaning that the latter is now in possession of completed units in retail boxes. Depending on the contract, the transfer of control may occur either at the EU port or Chinese port, therefore the battery-replaceable model could arrive in stores around either mid July or early September. But if Nintendo wants to build up a stock, it’d add around 4 extra weeks. (all numbers are estimates)
