(Reacting to today’s TPC announcement: A new permanent Pokémon store is coming to London) You may have noticed that the press release doesn’t identify the store as a “Pokémon Center” but “Pokémon retail destination”. This is most likely because they don’t own the trademark in the UK.
AFAIK, the Pokémon Center trademarks are only registered in China, Japan, and Singapore (imgs below). The Pokémon Center New York trademarks in the US were abandoned. It’s possible that TPC will trademark Pokémon Center or Pokémon Centre in the UK before officially naming the store.
